Scope Of Practice

A/Prof Varey is a general Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon and performs a wide variety of procedures. Particular areas of interest include:

• Complex skin cancers

  • BCCs, SCCs, melanoma

  • especially in cosmetically or functionally sensitive areas

    • eg face, neck, forearms/hands, legs/feet

• Hands

  • Dupuytren’s, carpal tunnel, trigger finger

  • trauma - fractures, soft tissue injuries

• Breast

  • reconstruction, reduction, lifting (mastopexy)

• Cosmetic

  • prominent ears (otoplasty), eyelids (blepharoplasty), benign skin lesions, scar revision, tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), facelift (meloplasty)
